Just F*king Do It!
I’ve dreamed of launching this platform for more than five freaking years. I designed logos, attempted to teach myself to code, claimed every social media account I could, but still nothing. No posts, no promotion, just a dream and a color palette. If I had a dollar for every time someone recommended I start a blog, I could have definitely paid for my whole first year of Squarespace. I wrote mission statements, researched target audiences, drafted “why” statements, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do the most critical task…post something.
Fast forward to today. I’m really thankful for quarantine (more on that later) because it finally sat me down long enough to face my fears and just f*king do it. I watched a few tutorials to get the site set up, binged IG live stories and webinars to gain some final tips and encouragement, and here we are. Most of all, I had enough time to reflect and finally gain closure around the fact that it doesn’t need to be perfect. Perfect is not authentic. Perfect is the antithesis of what this blog was supposed to even be about. I wanted to start this blog to talk about the good, bad and ugly while affirming that each has its place in creating a beautiful life. And I hope this first post gives you glimpse of what that’s like and entices you to come back for more.
I have so much to share on this platform. And if you’re holding back on what you have for the world, let me encourage you during these uncertain times—just f*king do it!
Love and Light,
